The romantic Casa Caracol in Canarian style is located in an exclusive location on the west side of La Palma in one of the most beautiful climates of the island at an altitude of about 508 meters.

The egg-yellow vacation home in solitary location is situated in the valley of El Jesús, the valley of the palm trees, near the village of Tijarafe. The property has a size of 3080 m2 and is partly natural. There is a parking space for cars on the property.

A spiral staircase on the south side of the house leads to a 6 m2 roof terrace. This wine-red staircase gave the name to the house, because spiral staircase is called Escalera Caracol in Spanish, a “snail staircase”, because Caracol is the snail.

On the small but nice roof terrace you can sunbathe undisturbed. From there, as from the entire property, you also have an unobstructed view over the sea, to the moonrises and sunsets, and at night to the fantastic starry sky.

Across the valley you can look up to the 2306 m high Roque Palmero at the edge of the caldera. The terraced garden offers romantic corners with many tropical plants, an orchard with various tropical fruits for consumption by the guests and an old pajero (old Canarian goat shed or storage room). In front of the pajero there is a small cave of volcanic origin (lava bubble).

For many centuries, a path for the goat herders with their small flocks led across the property, which can still be seen today with a good will. It is lined by three palm trees over a hundred years old, which impress with their size and direct the view to the vast blue horizon.

The terrace is surrounded by many flowering plants. The pergola offers optimal protection against sun and rain. The cottage is surrounded by stone terraces and paths with different places to have breakfast or watch the sunset in the evening.

A spacious, typical Canarian barbecue is located directly at the terrace. From there, a path leads directly to the saltwater pool.

The elaborately designed infinity pool with metal ladder has a size of about 8 x 4m and is 1.40m deep. A large sunbathing area invites you to sunbathe and is protected from the wind by the glass fencing, so that you can enjoy the cooler evening hours with a glass of wine even after a hot day.

Inside the house, there are tall double patio doors in every room that open out onto the terrace or garden, making the house feel light and airy at any time of day. The burglar-proof doors and windows are designed in the Canarian style. All windows and patio doors are tilt and turn and all rooms have at least one window and/or door with a fly screen.

The central living room with the characteristic Canarian roof contains a cozy fireplace and an integrated fitted kitchen with stove and dishwasher and various technical appliances. Wooden floorboards give the house a very homely and cozy atmosphere.

A TV and WLAN are available. In the adjoining sun-drenched conservatory, which gives a magnificent view of the sea, you can have breakfast or retire and work.

From the conservatory you can also get out to the garden or terrace through the comfortable patio doors.

In the house there is a bathroom with a large floor-level shower and a washing machine.

The two bedrooms have different sized double beds and spacious wardrobes and also have large patio doors.

There are wonderful walks to Playa Jurado, or to the legendary pirate bay of Tijarafe directly from the house.

Nearest supermarket about 3 KM, restaurants about 3 KM, beach of Tazacorte about 15 minutes by car.
