Villa Pura Vida is situated alone and quietly in rural surroundings at approx. 380 m on the coast of Puntagorda in a finca of approx. 8,000 m2 in a unique location: only approx. 5 minutes walk to the cliffs. With 380 meters of altitude it is located in an ideal climate zone and guarantees a gigantic view into the starry sky due to non-existing scattered light. House, terrace and pool area are not visible and are also suitable for naturists. The view exactly to the west over the Atlantic is both from the house, as well as from the pool completely free and very impressive. Situated below the village of Puntagorda, you can reach in about 5 minutes different supermarkets, a health food store, a bakery, various cafes and restaurants and a pharmacy. In about 10 minutes you can reach by car the Puerto de Puntagorda, a small, rustic rocky bay with swimming possibility in the sea.

The modern architect-designed villa with its unique design and dreamlike infinity pool is situated in a privileged and isolated location on a small rocky promontory at an ideal altitude of 380 m above sea level below the village of Puntagorda and embodies in all aspects the chill-out feeling of “Pura Vida”.

From here you have a sensational panoramic view of the sea, the lovely coastal landscape and the impressive vegetation in southern, western and northern direction as well as of the mountains in eastern direction.

Beautifully planted large and small palm trees around the villa as well as other tropical plants frame the outdoor areas and many different stone terraces and give the modern villa a special charm.

The ambience inside and outside the villa invite you to relax. The villa, consisting of two bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms, an open split-level designed large living/kitchen area, inspires with a combination of simple elegance and inviting coziness! Puristic modernity is deliberately paired with Canarian tradition, and the predominant white hue directs the view in every room through oversized glass fronts to the fascinating natural spectacles of the sea and the horizon.

From every room of the villa, even from the bathroom and shower, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view and sensational sunsets over the sea at any time of the year!

The focal point of the architect complex is the light-filled designer kitchen with cooking island and high-quality kitchen appliances from BOSCH (refrigerator and freezer, oven and induction hob). The very well equipped kitchen invites you to cook and feast.

The cooking pleasure is garnished by the magnificent view of the expanse of the sea from the stove or bar.

Due to the split level to the living area and the oversized windows you enjoy an elevated and distant view . The living area offers you a comfortable sitting area with a custom leather sofa with chaise longue, a liquor bar, a 55 inch TV with Spanish and German channels, a wine rack and an elegant dining table with comfortable leather chairs.

The extensive kitchen equipment also includes a portafilter espresso machine, a juicer, wine/champagne buckets, and beautiful wine, cognac, and whiskey glasses. Whether you’re reading, entertaining, watching TV, eating or drinking from anywhere, you’ll have a gorgeous view across the pool deck to the enchanting landscape and Atlantic Ocean.

The two bedrooms, each with their own individually connected en-suite bathrooms, are located in the wings to the left and right of the main complex. This gives a lot of privacy and a private terrace in front of each bedroom. From both private rooms there is a wonderful view of the sea from the bed and also from the bathroom. The double beds (each 1.80 x 2.0 meters) offer the highest sleeping comfort. This is ensured by orthopedic natural rubber mattresses from German manufacture and anti-allergic treatment with neem tree seed extract. The various pillows and bedding are made of anti-allergic silk and camel fluff hair and all bedding has organic certification. We want you to relax in your sleep too! Two electronically operated skylights set into the individually designed roof domes offer a view of La Palma’s mesmerizing starry sky even from inside the house. The architecturally unique interior roof domes can be illuminated with LED strips in white as well as a wide variety of colors, providing ideal lighting conditions depending on your state of mind and activity. The furnishing in the outdoor area shows – as in the interior – the highest quality. So you will find luxury loungers with 10cm high cushions and an extra width of 1m, which guarantee a relaxed lying. A chillout hanging chair for 2 people invites you to read, chat, dream and look at the sea. A large wooden table with 6 rattan armchairs offers enough space to dine also with friends. In the open-plan old-Canarian cottage on the lower terrace there is a modern gas grill. On this level there is another dining area with table. The old-Canarian cottage can also be used as a sun and wind protected area for lounging and relaxing. The modern-white infinity pool is particularly suitable for swimming due to its dimensions (2.70 x 10 meters). The skin-friendly saltwater pool is electronically controlled and ensures an ideal PH level at all times. It can be heated by a photovoltaic system belonging to the villa by means of a heat pump, so that nothing stands in the way of swimming pleasure even in the winter months. However, due to weather conditions, we cannot guarantee ideal water temperatures at all times. All cabinets in the living/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom areas as well as the beds are custom made of wood by a local carpenter. Last but not least, we put a lot of emphasis on sustainability and environmental protection: a 4.9 KWp photovoltaic system allows for an almost 100% self-sufficiency rate, while a reliable backup system ensures that there are no restrictions in the power supply. A drinking water filtration system saves you the hassle of lugging water bottles and helps avoid plastic. The waste system located in the kitchen allows you to easily separate waste (in the meantime, La Palma also pays attention to waste separation and recycling).

For a fee:

Coffee service: we offer different types of specialty coffee from a renowned and multi-award winning German coffee roasting company. A map of the available coffees is available in the house.

Wine service: we offer wines from La Palma as well as the Spanish mainland for purchase (a wine cabinet for storing the wines is available). A map of the available wines is available in the house.

House rules

• Minimum stay: 7 nights
• Smoking is allowed only in the outdoor area
• The celebration of parties or celebrations is not allowed
• Check-in/check-out: check-in from 16:00, check-out until 10:00
• Children under 12 years on request
• Small pets on request: we ask to specify the breed, age and size of the pet. Condition for staying with a pet is:
• The pet owner has a liability insurance that covers the pet;
• He guarantees that his pet does not enter the bedroom and does not use the furniture (sofa, chairs, etc.);
• That his pet is well behaved and does not cause disturbances to the peace;
• That his own bed or den and dishes are brought;
• That no damage is caused in the villa.
• If the stay with the pet is allowed, there will be a charge of 10 euros per day for the pet and a cleaning fee of 30 euros, both payable on the spot.
