Great vacation home with spectacular sea views in Puntagorda

Location

Casa Los Alamos is situated alone and very quietly at 490 m above sea level on the coast of Puntagorda in a large finca in unique, natural surroundings: In the immediate vicinity of the vacation home there is only the church of San Mauro (originally from the 16th century), which is very rarely used, and the ruins of the former rectory.

Due to the low altitude and the sheltered position from the wind, the climate here is the best and warmest in Puntagorda. The location is absolutely quiet in unspoiled, natural surroundings. House, terrace and pool area are not visible. The view exactly to the west over the Atlantic Ocean is completely free and very impressive from the house as well as from the pool. From February to November the sun sets beautifully in the sea.

House and equipment

Casa Los Alamos is completely and comfortably furnished. Inside you will find a large salon, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (160×200) and fully air-conditioned, the other with a bunk bed for 2 persons, and a bathroom.

The equipment is of high quality and offers a lot of luxury: two flat screen TVs on the wall in the living room (55″) and bedroom (50″), with Sat TV and Playstation, excellent HiFi system with subwoofer and Canton boxes.

For musicians there is a digital Yamaha piano, which surpasses in sound all “real” pianos on La Palma and an acoustic guitar. Also the wood stove with glass viewing window in the living room should not go unmentioned. Firewood is always available in sufficient quantity and of course free of charge.

The separate kitchen is open to the living room. A stove with oven and many cooking utensils make cooking a pleasure even on vacation. A dishwasher and a microwave are also available. Perfect coffee enjoyment lets the vacation day start well: whether fully automatic coffee machine, Nespresso, Cafetera or French Press – you choose according to your gusto!

Internet access (flat rate) with WLAN is of course also available.

A large pool with subsequent ground-level terrace, massage jets, counter-current system and heating system is available for your exclusive use. The installed heating system raises the water temperature by about 3 degrees compared to a non-heated pool.

For barbecue fans there is a modern charcoal grill and a beefer that can be operated with gas.

A spacious, well-kept garden extends in front of the house and down to the pool level, where comfortable sun loungers are waiting for you.

The washing machine is located in a separate wooden house. A wooden, electrically operated swing gate awaits you at the portal.

Another very special service of the owners: you can rent 2 e-bikes for an extra charge, optionally by the day or per week.

Due to its remote location, the finca is also ideal for amateur astronomers for stargazing, as there is no stray light. A computer controlled telescope Meade ETX 70 is at your disposal.

In the village of Puntagorda there are several supermarkets, a health food store, restaurants, bars and a health center. Also worth mentioning is the weekend market on Saturday and Sunday, with local products, such as freshly squeezed sugar cane juice.

The surrounding area offers wonderful hiking trails directly from the house. Not far away is the “Puerto de Puntagorda”, a natural harbor and popular bathing place with protected rocky bay and caves.
